Got Style?

People with a strong sense of style command a presence all their own.
Yes, we look to Coco Chanel, Her Serene Highness, Princess Grace, Jackie O., and even her sister, Lee Radziwill. These people have an ambience and an allure that captivated an entire planet. (Others: Katharine Hepburn, Babe Paley...Vivien Leigh, etc.)

Today, I peruse magazine ads and photography, and the ones that resonate with me, and the people who represent the companies, resonate deeply with the public for a reason. This connection is not always delineated concretely on our spreadsheets, or even in our daily fashion - related investments. You know, however, that this style endures.

For instance, I gravitate toward a certain ad or company, because they have an unmistakable style or mystique that cannot always be described. Have you ever been able to pass over a Cartier ad without stopping to study it? The tiffany ads also speak poetically and candidly. A more recent representative of style is that of Rachel Zoe. Her style definitely emanates in her creations that she offers to the public.

For that reason, I still can't do without my tangible magazine subscriptions.
There is always something new and constant revisits from all our favorites from the past. People such as Ivanka Trump and Martha Stewart all have a sense of style. They have to portray or carry an image, but their sense of style binds them together with the public that they serve.

Today, if you are pondering about developing a sense of style, or even presenting your own, pay a visit to the following site:

http://www.harpersbazaar.com (Hearst)

Online is a chance for you to present your style and share it with people around you. This is an investment of your time and interests that may not disappoint. Click on the contest guidelines and participate.

If you are a photographer, you may want to read April's issue of "Town & Country," and show your representation of style.

Hearst Corporation is scouting for outstanding photographers for the future.

And yes! The contest is presented in an ad.
